    What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Have you always wanted a picture-perfect smile, but haven’t been able to achieve it because of cracked, broken, or chipped teeth? Porcelain veneers may be the solution to giving you the camera-ready smile you’ve always dreamed of having.

A dental veneer is a small, thin shell that we permanently attach to the front of your teeth to give them a beautiful, even appearance. Veneers are shaped and coloured like teeth, allowing you to achieve a natural result while boosting the brilliance and uniformity of your smile.

    The Porcelain Veneers Process

The installation process involves careful filing of your teeth to remove enamel and to properly shape them for the application of your porcelain veneers. We then make a mold of your teeth to reflect their unique shape and positioning, and a lab custom builds porcelain veneers suited for you. While we wait for your new veneers, we may install temporary veneers to keep your smile looking great in the meantime.

Once your veneers arrive, we install them by cementing them to the front of each tooth. Some people only require one veneer to cover a damaged tooth, but most people get multiple veneers—usually six to eight—to create a stunning, symmetrical smile. Porcelain veneers can last between five to seven years with proper care, which involves maintaining a consistent oral hygiene routine.

    Are Porcelain
    Veneers Right For You?

Porcelain veneers can make a remarkable difference in the appearance of your teeth and in the beauty of your smile! In most cases, porcelain veneers are suitable for anyone looking to beautify their smile.

Unlike crowns, which encase your entire tooth, veneers only cover the front portion of the tooth. They’re less invasive than crowns because less filing of your natural tooth is required to install a veneer. Porcelain veneers—as opposed to composite veneers—also tend to be stronger and last longer.

Porcelain veneers may not be right for you if you also struggle with gum disease, severe enamel erosion, or teeth grinding. In these cases, we offer a variety of other treatment options to help you achieve the smile of your dreams, including dental crowns, dental bonding, and more.
